Oasis Speech was founded because we saw how many families struggled to balance busy schedules with their child’s or loved one’s therapy needs, and we wanted to make access easier without losing the personal touch.

Evaluations

We offer a full range of speech and language evaluations tailored to your child’s needs, including:

  • A full assessment of speech, language, and communication skills to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Evaluates how your child pronounces sounds and words to detect speech sound errors.

  • Measures receptive (understanding) and expressive (speaking) language skills for age-appropriate development.

  • Screens for disruptions in speech flow, such as stuttering, repetitions or blocks, to determine if further evaluation is needed.

  • Assesses conversational skills, nonverbal communication, and social interaction abilities.

We help families understand and navigate speech and language services in the public school system. We can support you with:

  • Reviews and explains your child's school-based evaluation results so you understand the findings and what they mean.

  • Breaks down your child's IEP or 504 plan, including goals, accommodations, and your rights as a parent.

  • Walks you through what to expect at upcoming IEP or eligibility meetings and what questions to ask.

Sherry is a licensed speech-language pathologist with broad experience supporting children, teens, and adults in school, clinic, and telehealth settings. She earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma.

She has a strong background in language, articulation, fluency, literacy, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders, and is committed to evidence-based practice, focusing on supportive, goal-oriented therapy that fits each client and family.

  • We offer a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your concerns, answer questions, and confirm we’re the right fit—no pressure.

  • Private pay comprehensive evaluation is $250. That includes testing, scoring, and a written report with recommendations. We’ll review all fees with you before getting started so there are no surprises.

  • A 30-minute private speech therapy session is $85 and includes individualized, evidence-based treatment focused on your or your child’s goals.

  • In Florida, we accept: Aetna, UHC & Step Up for Students

    In Texas we accept: Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, UHC, Medicaid & Medicare.

    Superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Oasis Speech provides online speech therapy for children, teens, and adults, offering evaluations and therapy for articulation, language development, stuttering/fluency, social communication, cognitive-communication and aphasia.

  • All sessions are led by licensed, experienced speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who specialize in evidence-based, client-centered care. Each SLP is licensed in the state where the client resides.

  • Most sessions are 25-30 minutes, but we adjust the duration and frequency to meet each client’s individual goals.

  • Currently, Oasis Speech serves clients only in Florida and Texas, as our SLPs are licensed in those states. As we expand, we’ll update this page with new locations.

  • Yes. All of our services are delivered 100% via telehealth — no travel required. Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and can be accessed from any device with a camera and internet connection.

  • We offer comprehensive speech and language evaluations for children including articulation, phonological, language development, fluency, and social communication assessments. All evaluations are conducted via telehealth and include a written report with findings and treatment recommendations.

  • Oasis Speech provides telehealth speech therapy for adults including aphasia evaluation and therapy, fluency and stuttering therapy, and cognitive-communication therapy for individuals managing the effects of stroke, brain injury, or TBI.

  • Yes. Oasis Speech provides school support services including IEP and 504 plan navigation. We help families understand evaluation results, break down IEP goals and accommodations, prepare for school meetings, and advocate for their child within the school system.
